APLIKASI BIOCHAR DAN KONSENTRASI CUKA BAMBU PADA BUDIDAYA MICROGREEN BAYAM MERAH (Amaranthus tricolor L.)

Abstract


This study was carried out to identify the effect of biochar application and several concentrations of bamboo vinegar on the results of microgreen cultivation of red spinach (Amaranthus tricolor L.). The experimental design used in this study was a factorial experiment arranged in a completely randomized design with two treatment factors and repeated three times. The first factor is the application of biochar (B) on the planting media: B0 (without biochar) and B1 (with biochar). The second factor is the concentration of bamboo vinegar with doses C0: 0 ppm, C1: 50 ppm, C2: 100 ppm, C3: 200 ppm, C4: 400 ppm, and C5: 800 ppm. The observation parameters in this study were germination power, plant height, plant fresh weight, root fresh weight, root dry weight and organoleptic test. The results of the analysis showed that the biochar treatment was significantly different in the parameters of plant height, plant fresh weight, organoleptic test (color), organoleptic test (taste), and organoleptic test (texture). Bamboo vinegar treatment was significantly different in the parameters of plant height and plant fresh weight. The interaction between biochar and bamboo vinegar treatments showed results that were not significantly different in all observation parameters.
