ABSTRACT
This study aims to describe students' understanding of multi-representation of chemistry in Redox and Electrochemistry material for class XII MAN 2 Padang City. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive research. The subject of this study was class XII IPA 4 MAN 2 Padang City which was taken randomly with 35 students as members. The instruments used were descriptive tests and interviews. The questions covered included 3 levels of representation using technical analysis data from Miles & Huberman and data processing using Microsoft Excel. The results showed that the proportion of understanding at the macroscopic level was 65% (enough category), the symbolic level was 62% (sufficient category), and the sub-microscopic level was 20% (very poor category).
