The main problem that occurs in the employment of a country or region is the level of employment opportunities that are still low. This happens because the increase in the number of the workforce is not proportional to the available job opportunities so that a small amount of labor is absorbed and the unemployment rate increases. This study aims to determine the effect of the Regency/City Minimum Wage (UMK), Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB), Human Development Indeks (IPM) and total population on absorption of labor in 27 Regencies/Cities of West Java Province in 2015-2020. This study uses panel data that combines cross section data, namely 27 regencies/cities in West Java Province and time series data, which uses the 2015-2020 period. The analysis technique in this study uses panel data regression analysis with the Fixed Effect Model approach. The results showed that partially the Regency/City Minimum Wage (UMK) variable and total population had a positive and significant effect on absorption of labor in 27 Regencies/Cities of West Java Province in 2015- 2020. Meanwhile, the Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB) and Human Development Indeks (IPM) variables have no significant positive effect on absorption of labor in 27 regencies/cities of West Java Province in 2015-2020. Simultaneously the variables of the Regency/City Minimum Wage (UMK), Gross Regional Domestic Product (PDRB), Human Development Index (IPM) and the total population together have significant effect on absorption of labor in 27 Regencies/Cities of West Java Province in 2015-2020.References
